We caught up with Khuzema Khanbhai, Managing Director of DK Wholesale, to find out more about their ecommerce journey and how Linnworks has helped their business to scale. 

Growing pains: Challenges in expanding sales  

For DK Wholesale, a core challenge was increasing sales among existing customers. While customers had become accustomed to purchasing certain brands and product lines, upselling others was proving challenging. Khanbhai explains, “As Wholesalers of various brands and having our own Kitchen Appliances – Domestic King brand, we always wanted maximum exposure for our products to be sold online on retail websites and marketplace platforms.  However, our online selling customer base would only procure a few tried and tested lines from us.” 

They made the decision to implement Linnworks for order management, along with Avasam — the dropshipping platform. As Linnworks offers an integration with Avasam, this proved a powerful combination, and had an immediate impact on DK Wholesale’s business..

While DK Wholesale implemented Linnworks with the hope of increasing sales among existing customers, they have experienced an unexpected increase in new sales, too. Khanbhai explains, “Since the inception of DK Connect, we have not only encouraged our current seller base to sell more of our lines but also acquired a new seller base that is not only dropshipping but also buying from us now.”
