Gamblers Warehouse is a US-based ecommerce brand which specializes in the manufacture of personalized custom chips and high-quality secure gaming chips and playing cards. Based in Grand Prairie, Texas, they ship products all around the globe.
We caught up with Joselin, Inventory Manager at Gamblers Warehouse, to find out how SkuVault Core has changed the way their team manages inventory.
Before SkuVault Core: Lost time and overselling
“We were previously manually updating sales channels and were overselling,” explains Joselin. She continues, “And this led to us having to cancel orders, and customers got upset, saying “you said you had it in stock, but you actually didn’t.””
This inefficiency was not only jeopardizing customer relationships — but was also wasting valuable time. Joselin explains, “Another example, we have all our stuff in a warehouse, but we don’t know where each item is. So, we know we have it, but we don’t know where it is. So it was sometimes taking up to 30 minutes or an hour to find a particular item somewhere in the warehouse.”
This was unsustainable for Gamblers Warehouse, and they decided it was time to make a change. This is when SkuVault Core entered the picture.
Saving precious hours — and customer relationships
“We used to have some angry customers, who didn’t get the right items. Thanks to SkuVault Core, that has gone down a lot. If anything, issues are only whenever the order is packed and maybe a label gets swapped,” Joselin reflects. She continues, “we no longer have to do inventory all the time just to confirm numbers. We can see our inventory online as well.”

This has positively impacted internal relationships for Gamblers Warehouse. Joselin confirms this, “We used to get emails quite often, maybe once a week, saying that inventory isn’t right, or orders are getting sent out wrong. Now this doesn’t happen — and our owners are happy.”
One of the biggest benefits of SkuVault Core has been time savings. Joselin explains, “For stores that have a lot of inventory, we used to do a partial inventory count every two weeks and it took maybe half a day. With SkuVault Core, everyone can automatically see what’s available. So it’s been a big improvement.”

Powerful integrations with existing infrastructure
Choosing SkuVault Core has meant that Gamblers Warehouse can automatically leverage their existing tools and infrastructure. Joselin highlights this, “the ShipStation integration is really simple, and importing inventory and stock locations was straightforward.” She continues, “You can download the template and it makes it super, super easy for us to do that.” She continues, “When you compare it to everything that was going on before, it’s super easy. The person picking already knows what to do.”
“I personally did the connection for two stores and it was easy. I hadn’t done it before and, and it was really simple to import everything.”
Setting up these powerful integrations is also a breeze, as Joselin highlights, “I personally did the connection for two stores and it was easy. I hadn’t done it before and, and it was really simple to import everything.”
Greater shipping efficiency — with less worry involved
“With SkuVault Core, we only process the orders that are paid and are good to go, so we don’t have to waste time checking.” Joselin reflects. She continues, “We also don’t have to worry about the orders. Usually we would have to check Shopify, make sure that they’re paid and only process the orders that are. If we did orders at 12, we had to re-update them for the orders to get imported.”
SkuVault Core has removed this altogether, as Joselin confirms, “On SkuVault Core it’s constantly updating so we don’t have to check if we missed an order, or if the order wasn’t paid in the morning and we’re shipping at 12. We’re able to process that order now.”
