How Red Label Outlet manages more than 700 daily orders with Linnworks
New commerce connects
Find out how Linnworks can help grow your business.
Red Label Outlet is a leading fragrance ecommerce brand and has been for over a decade. Red Label Outlet offers authentic designer beauty products at competitive prices.
Founded as a family-run eBay venture, the business has grown into an ecommerce powerhouse with four new ecommerce brands — House of Paints, Direct Retail Outlet, and Red Label Health. The company boasts a large customer base and around £3 million in annual turnover.
We caught up with Managing Director, Apu Patel, to find out how Red Label Outlet has grown, and what role Linnworks has played in their ecommerce journey.
Managing the complexity of scaling
With turnover soaring and customer demands escalating, Red Label Outlet faced the challenge of managing increasingly complex operations while growing sustainably. Managing inventory in multiple warehouses, while also streamlining fulfillment across various sales channels and tracking inventory at scale at times overshadowed the excitement of growth.
Fulfilling over 700 orders daily within just a few months of inception, Apu Patel, CEO of Red Label Outlet, recognized the urgent need for sophisticated ecommerce software to streamline sales, inventory and order management. It was critical to ensure that customer and operational data were seamlessly integrated without disrupting the company’s day-to-day operations.
Managing inventory across multiple ecommerce channels, including eBay and Amazon, was one of the biggest challenges for Patel. The prospect of overselling, risking cancellations and receiving negative feedback loomed large.
Going for growth with Linnworks
Eventually, Red Label Outlet opted for Linnworks, and our solution has allowed them to list inventory across multiple platforms with the click of a button, saving time and increasing staff efficiency. Linnworks also provides Red Label Outlet with powerful automations and real-time reporting and analytics.
As Red Label Outlet embraced the Linnworks platform, the benefits were clear. The business gained access to hundreds of global marketplaces, D2C platforms, shipping providers and 3PLs. It has enabled the company to reach key target marketplaces such as B&Q, The Range and Debenhams instantly. Apu remarked, “We’re already having conversations with B&Q for House of Paints about being listed on its website, something that would have been a real challenge to get through the door without the help of Linnworks.”
Linnworks is not just a solution for Red Label Outlet. It’s also a strategic asset that empowers them to thrive in the competitive ecommerce landscape. With Linnworks as a foundation, Apu founded Linnpoint to help businesses elevate their value through custom software development, product design, quality assurance and consultancy services. Today, Linnpoint is a preferred partner for many world-class enterprises, SMEs and technology challengers.
“For us, the adoption of Linnworks was both necessary and revolutionary, and has become an invaluable support system for our business.”
